How coronavirus may affect your travel plans

If you would like information on how coronavirus may affect your travel plans, and if you may need to cancel any travel plans due to the risk of contracting coronavirus. Please Click Here for advice from the Foreign Office regarding travelling to specific areas of the world . Depending on your specific travel insurance policy, most insurance companies will cover cancelled trips to countries to which the Foreign Office advise not to travel. No certificate from your GP is required.

In addition, please be advised that the surgery is unable to provide letters or certificates to travel insurance companies supporting requests for refunds by patients who, without any significant medical illness, cancel their travel plans.

Important! there is a nationwide shortage of RABIES vaccine.

Please check with The London Travel Clinic 0208 261 7554.

Travel vaccinations are subject to vaccine and appointment availability.

Travel advice - Registered patients

The practice nurses offer comprehensive travel advice for our patients travelling abroad. Initial enquiries can be made either by telephone or online consultation (click here to begin a consultation). The nurse will call you to ascertain individual needs and then offer a convenient appointment where vaccinations are recommended. Ideally enquire with us at least 6 weeks prior to travel; for longer trips please allow 8 weeks, this is to ensure all vaccine courses can be completed before departure.

Please help us to help you better by having as much information as possible to hand including:

  • Travel destination (especially multiple destinations)
  • Dates of travel
  • Any previous vaccinations (especially anything given at private clinics or elsewhere)

Please also use the following websites as they are very useful resources for travel information to keep you safe and healthy whilst abroad:

As a private patient who is not registered with our practice we are still able to offer some vaccinations and advice at a cost (download price list). However we ask that you call our patient assistants on 0207 780 8000 during our opening hours and they will guide you through the process.

As with all patients please help us by having to hand the following information:

  • Travel destination (especially multiple destinations)
  • Dates of travel
  • Any previous vaccinations (especially anything given at private clinics or elsewhere)
