
Flu vaccinations for 2023 – 2024
The below groups will be eligible for a flu vaccine from 01 September 2023:
- Those aged 65 years and over
- Those aged 6 months to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
- Pregnant women
- All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2023
- Primary school aged children (from Reception to Year 6)
- Those in long-stay residential care homes
- Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
Frontline workers in a social care setting, without an employer led occupational health scheme. Including those working for a registered residential care or nursing home, registered domiciliary care providers, voluntary managed hospice providers and those that are employed by those who receive direct payments (personal budgets) or Personal Health budgets, such as Personal Assistants
House-bound patients will be contacted in due course and be offered vaccination at home by our approved local pharmacy

Empowering Potential: Juned’s Inspiring Journey with JSP and Project Search
At JSP, we have always been committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that celebrates diversity and empowers individuals to reach their full potential. Over the past 12 weeks, we had the privilege of hosting Juned, an exceptional intern, through the esteemed Project Search program. Project Search focuses on helping young adults with learning disabilities and autism transition into the workforce. Juned’s journey with us was nothing short of inspiring, leaving a lasting impact on both our patients and staff. We were so impressed by his quick learning abilities, positive influence, and unwavering enthusiasm that we happily offered him a permanent position at JSP.
Juned’s Journey: A Triumph of Perseverance
Juned’s arrival at JSP marked the beginning of a remarkable journey that exemplified the power of determination and the impact of inclusive work practices. Despite facing unique challenges, Juned showed immense dedication to acquiring new skills and enhancing his existing abilities. His eagerness to contribute to the healthcare sector, particularly the NHS, was evident from day one.
Embracing Opportunities for Growth
During his 12-week internship, Juned fearlessly embraced new opportunities for growth and learning. His ability to absorb information quickly and apply it in practical situations left a lasting impression on his supervisors and colleagues. Juned worked tirelessly to expand his skill set, actively participating in various projects and tasks with an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Making a Positive Difference
Beyond his impressive work ethic, Juned’s warm and compassionate demeanor had a profound impact on both patients and staff. His ability to connect with people, demonstrate empathy, and brighten the atmosphere around him made him a valued member of the JSP family. Patients appreciated his kind-hearted nature, which contributed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment within the clinic.
Transitioning from Intern to Employee
As Juned’s internship drew to a close, it was evident that his presence had become an integral part of the JSP team. Recognizing his exceptional contributions and potential for growth, we were delighted to extend a permanent position to Juned. Embracing this opportunity with gratitude and enthusiasm, Juned now plays a crucial role in our pursuit of providing outstanding healthcare services while setting an example for others in the industry.

Air Pollution & You
Air pollution is in the air that we breathe in, there are lots of different types of pollution in the air around us and it can be damaging to everyone’s health.
Take a look at the simple Air Pollution and You checklist to see what actions you can take to help reduce yours and your family’s exposure to air pollution, and improve symptoms like coughing, wheezing and breathlessness. More information on the impacts of air pollution can be found on the NHS North East London website.

There are a couple of webinars and workshops that are being organised around how to safely manage your diabetes during Ramadan.
